Barut Hotels began with the Cennet Hotel: a small house on the Side shore that guests reached by boat, because the road had not yet arrived. Ali İhsan Barut and his family ran it themselves. The habits formed there, of knowing the guest by name, of setting the table properly, of looking after the people who work in the house, have not changed since.
Today the group keeps ten addresses on the Turkish Mediterranean, in Side, Lara and Didim: all inclusive family hotels, the Collection hotels, and the BAYOU villas. Each has its own character; all of them keep the same manner. What a guest finds at the door today is what the first guests found stepping off the boat: a family that is at home here, and glad you came.
Three generations of one family have built and run these hotels. Decisions are taken on the coast, by people who have walked every property, and the philosophy has been the same since 1971: a happy team makes a happy guest. It shows in the small things. The same faces at reception from one season to the next, a garden that is tended rather than installed, a kitchen that cooks the region's food because the family eats it too.
Barut has never left the Mediterranean. Every hotel stands on the Turkish coast between Antalya and Didim, on land the family chose and often waited for. The sponsorship of the Side excavations, the We Care All sustainability programme and the care taken with water, energy and waste are one idea: the coast is not a backdrop but a home, and is kept the way a home is.

Cennet Hotel
Thirty six rooms on the Side shore, reached by boat. The Barut family opens its first hotel and runs it as a household. The story of those years is told by Ali İhsan Barut himself in the documentary.
Barut Acanthus
A second house opens in Side. In 2006 Cennet and Acanthus are joined. On 1 November 2015 the building is taken down and rebuilt from the ground; on 17 May 2016 it reopens as Barut Acanthus Cennet, and on 1 April 2019 it joins the Collection as Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection.
Barut Hemera
Barut Hemera opens at Side, between the pines and the long beach. It has been open every season since, and it is the house where the family's way of doing things is easiest to see.
Barut Arum
Barut Arum, Side'de antik kente yürüme mesafesinde açıldı. 1 Nisan 2019'da Arum Barut Collection adını aldı.

Barut B Suites
Opens at Side as Sunwing Side Beach. In 2017 it takes the name Barut B Suites.
Forty Years
The fortieth year is marked at Lara Barut with an evening that also announces the investments to come. Among the guests, former Minister of Tourism Gürdal Akşit.
Barut Sunwing Side Beach
Opens at Side. In 2024 it is rebuilt and takes the name Barut GOIA.
TUI BLUE Barut

The Collection
The group announces its Collection segment: three hotels set aside for a higher standard of service. On 1 April 2019 Barut Acanthus, Barut Arum and Barut Lara become Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection, Arum Barut Collection and Lara Barut Collection.
BAYOU Villas Lara
BAYOU Villas Lara opens on 1 October 2022 within Lara Barut Collection: the group's first villas, and the first address of the BAYOU brand.
Barut GOIA
Rebuilt after a major investment, the former Barut Sunwing Side Beach reopens on 1 April 2024 as Barut GOIA.
Anda Barut Collection and BAYOU Villas Delice Peninsula
On 6 May 2024 the group opens in Didim for the first time: Anda Barut Collection and BAYOU Villas Delice Peninsula, on the same day and on the same peninsula.
2027'de Lara Barut Collection, Anda Barut Collection ve Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection, BAYOU Lara, BAYOU Anda ve BAYOU Acanthus adlarını alacak.
